Out for Coffee!

Hubby was feeling so much better today I took everyone out for a coffee and we met a few of his friends

He has lost so much weight!!!!

We went to a place called Chief Trading Post apart from selling lovely bronzes and stautes etc it sold lots of my type of plants!!!!

Lots and lots of tree ferns

did you know tree ferns don't need to be planted to grow!

this one is just stood on the ground!! These pics are greeny coloured because of the shading!

Bamboos' too which I have become quite partial too!
The girls thought these loungers where just what we needed.

I on the other hand thought this would look good in my jungle garden.

although we would have to have it delivered and even then I'm not sure it would fit through my house!!
Hubby has always been very partial to elephants and loved this fountain

but at over £13500 I thought it a bit over the top. Why the bamboo swing I liked was only £200, far closer to our price range! So we went off for a coffee and a large pice of cake to discuss it!!!!

Out & About!

Last day of the holidays, and I always take the girls or should I say Tori out for lunch. Usually at Whitehall Garden Centre, which is the other side of Lacock and has grown from a tiny place to a massive place now. The quality of plants is excellent and they have a 5 year guarentee on hardy plants, no quibble either as my neighbour found out when her plum tree died! They can be found here.

I hadn't appreciated just how much rain we had, had until I saw this......

to the right of the above photo is......

a field with 2 swans and a cygnet swimming in it!!!

As you cross the bridge..

after all this when we got there the kitchen is shut for major refurbishment this week so off we toddled, back the way we came up to 'Blooms of Bressingham' Swindon which after we had, had a very enjoyable lunch I was able to buy alot of seeds at half price. This offer is available until the 31st January. In case your interested!!

Last day of August 2006!

I have been a busy little bee today, Kathryn decided we should go blackberry picking so off we went with bags, camera and lots of humour. So I took some pictures

(Pic above) This is the view from the hill we walked up, my cottage is down there, honest !

(Above) This is the view if you walk east across a very large field and look in the opposite direction to the last pic. The stick on the hill on the horizon is Cherhill monument, which can be seen from the A4!

Look at all these Sloes there are loads this year, so plenty of Sloe Gin MMmmmmm!

The blackberries are rubbish this year so did not get as many as I would have liked.

I am making Blackberry and Sloe Gin Jelly. I haven't got a jelly bag so made my own! I will let you know how it goes.
