1st Day of Spring

It is also the eve of the Easter weekend and of course 'snow' is predicted! Now where do you think I live? Yep thats right the UK where all seasons can hit you in one day, or one week! So from a beautiful day yesterday when I got 3 loads of washing done, played in the garden and planned what we could do this weekend, I will now have to change it all!!!

Another 3 eggs yesterday

and yes they do need cleaning out!!!

Nobody told the garden that more snow was on the way....

I love this Euphorbia the vibrant lime green against the purple is amazing although this pic doesn't show it too well!!

I found this

in my window box out the front, I planted it with loads of bulbs last autumn and had forgotten there where some hyacinth in there!

My hubby always moans that everything is white in my garden...

well he's wrong heres one plant that isn't!!!

Sadly this tree is no where near my garden,

it bursts into life every spring and I wish it was in my garden it is so pretty!

My Japenese Maple is bursting into life to....

In the greenhouse life is bursting forth

the onions are in there trays

some salad leaves just poking through

The T-Rex thinks its time to get going and is actually quite beautiful

Last year in the Spring, Yolanda @ Bliss had tubs of tulips in her Potager, I thought to myself what a fabulous idea so planted mine up in the autumn. I then waited patiently until now, when I imagined I'd be viewing a tub full of tulip blooms, but of course in this household as you all know nothing runs to plan... this is one of my tubs of tulips!!!

can you see whats wrong?????

Just to prove your on the blog of a very balanced person, I took a test!!!!

You Are 50% Left Brained, 50% Right Brained

The left side of your brain controls verbal ability, attention to detail, and reasoning.

Left brained people are good at communication and persuading others.

If you're left brained, you are likely good at math and logic.

Your left brain prefers dogs, reading, and quiet.

The right side of your brain is all about creativity and flexibility.

Daring and intuitive, right brained people see the world in their unique way.

If you're right brained, you likely have a talent for creative writing and art.

Your right brain prefers day dreaming, philosophy, and sports.

I think there are a lot of plants that are going to get a mighty shock if the weather report comes true this weekend - Ihave a Camelia in full flower!! :(

Your plants are looking good, but please warn them about the rotten weather forecast, tell them to put their winter coats on!
Although today is officially the First Day of Spring, there are no indications that anything springlike may happen... dull, and grey, and I just saw some snowflakes drift by the window!

Your garden is looking very Spring like. I hope nothing gets nipped by the cold. I wonder some days if I have a brain at all...!
I'd happily settle for left or right..LOL

Hello there Libby, thanks for calling over on my blog and enquiring how I am.

Mostly have had too much going on to think of blogging - counselling is very tiring, though having a short break from it at the mo as my counsellor is on holiday in New Zealand (luck so and so!). Last session wasn't too bad, only about a dozen (man sized triple ply) tissues, but the one before was a half a box session!

Then there's the going through parents' papers yet again to make sure I haven't missed anything that should go to the lawyer or the accountant. And jewellery has gone for valuation now. Guess at some point we will have to get the flat valued too. Expect John will call the lawyer after Easter to find out how things are going.

Meant to be going to the new caravan today, but after packing my bag and sorting some stuff out just felt too knackered. Plus the caravan heating isn't installed yet, and it was so windy and horrid this morning neither of us were terribly keen on leaving a centrally heated house with a coal fire in the living room too! Maybe tomorrow.

There is a gas fire in the new caravan, and it's double glazed and insulated (which the old one wasn't). But a northerly blowing straight up the field - Brrrrrr!

Hugs from Liverpool

Let's see: snow - check, hail - check, thunderstorm - check, wind and rain - check! Yep, it's Spring alright. LOL

It's been a long time since we had such bad weather for Easter weekend. Yesterday was not so bad, we had mainly sunshine although it was cold but today ....... brrrrrrrr!

Love the pics of you and K wrapped up nice and warm (very sensible!) and of those two cute little lambs too. Fortunately the lambs come with their own very nice and warm woolen coats.
