No Rain Today!

The first day for ages we havn't had rain, and we actually saw the sun and blue sky!
So we went out for a walk!

It was bitterley cold, but very enjoyable!

Then I thought a quick trot down the garden and round the greenhouses would be in order, ready?
My baby Tetrapanex Rex has been plodding along slowly but surely in the greenhouse.

The stupid gingers have not died back as I expected they would?

The left

and the large brug in the middle

the rest of the garden is soaking wet, oh! did I tell you we think we solved the lack of eggs problem?

Rats!!!!! Ugh horrible things, they had made a nest at the bottom of a compost right opposite the chickens and it was full of egg shells!!!!!
They have now been dealt with!!!

ooooh rats - I have them too!! little blighters. How did you deal with them if you don't mind me asking? - I can't use poison cos of Spot so am always interested to hear of new tricks. I have a trap that is supposed to electrocute them, but I think they're too clever and know what it is!!!

Oh dear, rats are not good but never far away so they say. Glad you managed to get out in the sunshine! You are not so far from us but we have had more rain, our garden is soaked and I am fed up with laundry! We must be due for a great summer this year :-)

All the Brit-Bloggers are complaining about the incessant rain and soggy gardens. Just get the wellies and the pak-a-macs out and enjoy it! It could be worse. You could be living in Canada.... it's going to -10C this weekend!!!

So glad the rain has eased off for you! Looks like it was actually a quite nice day there :o) I'd never have thought rats could move eggs, I wonder how they do it?

It's not only soggy in Britain, it's soggy here too.

Ewwwwwwww, rats! What did you do to get rid of them?

The plants in your greenhouse look fine, they seem to like it there.

Have a lovely weekend!

I could do with a good walk myself but the dry days have been when I'm at college :o( From the look of the weather outside today no chance of getting out in the country side without getting soaked and muddy. I hate rats....glad you've solved the problem of the eggs though. Your greenhouse looks so much tidier than the shed I pack my overwinterers in. Some of my gingers haven't completely died back either..guess it's not got cold enough this winter.
Have a good weekend
