Mud, mud, glorious mud!

I just thought I would show you the mess the electicity company made of our road.

Because they had their lorries parked at varying places down the road all the other traffic had to go around them. This made tractors horseboxes etc etc cut huge grooves into our verges.

So what, you may think, well, when this drys out and because there will be no grass left people consider this the road, so the road widens and the verge gets smaller. Which is fairly obvious in the picture just above.You can see where the new grooves have been cut and how hard a flat it is by the red car (mine). When we first moved here we could park with the front door in line with the telegraph pole, now as you see we can't!!!

A few wet days and the cats go stir crazy and start being very mischievious!

But hopefully with lighter mornings and eventually warmer days spring is just around the corner, well the crocus think it is!

Now what do you think I have planned for this?

If it works I will show you!

I'm guessing it's a cat scratching post ;o) A more serious guess would be something for the garden!

My Mum has 3 cats and all they are doing through the wind and rain is...sleeping! So not much change really. 11 days till my westie pup arrives so I think the cats are in for a bit of a shock!

Thank you for your comment today, it means a lot to me {{{HUGS}}}

Nice to see the crocus (crocii ?) up, not much green plant life around here at the moment.
I'd say the roll of string is to mark straight lines so you can plant seeds...?

Oh, just look at the crocus! A definite promise of spring.
We had a big thaw here in S Ontario, and all my snow melted, and I saw some little green tips showing through the ground, but the snow is back so they will just have to go to sleep for another month or two.

The Bliss team is getting very bored too. It's been raining buckets today and there is a very strong wind blowing so going outside is no fun at all.

The muddy road looks all to familiar, we have them too when the farmers have been driving around in those big machines of them. Mud everywhere for weeks on end.

I figured the crocuses would be up in England pretty soon. Do post them when they are blooming and also the snowdrops. I miss them!
