In the field down the lane at the side of the cottages is a large pile of horse manure! I asked the guy if I could help myself to some for the veg patch so today we decided to move some.
So join me on the journey of the collection of the manure!
Out the front door, please remember we have no rear access!
Down the lane.
Look whose coming up to meet us!
Through the gate at the bottom of the lane and across the field
As you can see it started to rain!
We where ably assisted by Tango.
Who wanted to be fussed!
Before the trek all the way back up the lane, past Tangos rain shelter
In through the lounge,
then the kitchen.
Before spreading it over the veg patch. We shall have to do this a few times before they are all covered!!
Still no sign of the Recycle Box by the way!

That's an interesting way to fertilise the veggies! I guess trundling the wheelbarrow through the lounge was the only route, you couldn't heave it over the fence? Not the wheel barrow, the horsey-poo!
Good grief Libby, I'm imagining having to cart all that horsey poo through my house. Oh boy, it is such a pity that you don't have a rear entrance to the back garden as everything would be so much easier then. But excellent work team, you all done a great job and the veggies will be very grateful for all the hard work. Kudos for supervisor Tango as you would obviously have been lost without him. ;-)
Someone stole your recycle box? Mindboggling!
Morning Libby:)
Its so hot here at my place, 41 degrees today. So I did enjoy collecting that manure with you. Sure beats feeling the heat here.
Great to see the supervisor was being bribed in the usual way with scratches and pats:)
Your garden will be enjoying that manure:D
Libby: how did you change your blog background? You're obviously cleverer than I am!
I've never been on an adventure gathering horse manure....now I can say I have...lol. What a lot of work, but I'm sure it will all pay off! Love that Tango went along to help. :o)
This shows real dedication, Libby. Well done! Your veggies will be truly organic.
HA HA I have just noticed the slogan on the back of my hoodie! "Lifes a beach" with horesey poo and rain!!!! lol!!
Doesn't really fit the scene does it?!!
Great to see you out and about again Libby - and muck spreading too. It is still to wet here to get onto my allotment land to do any serious work.
Your hair looks so shiney and a gorgeous colour.
Don't go over doing things will you. Love this post
Shame there is no use for doggie's doings!
