Hi!

Tango looking very comfy!

I read over at Ruths today a post on 'NO OFFENCE INTENDED' then I followed the trail to Us Danes where it all started and in all honesty I totally agree with Shaz, comments

So . . . . . .

1. No more Tags for me please. I may see a Tag that takes my fancy occasionally but I'd prefer not to be Tagged directly as I don't want to offend by saying "No Thanks!".

2. As for Meme's, well I could if I wanted Meme everyday but apart from Thoughts for Thursday that I think will be it for me. For me the post part of these meme's is only the start as the whole essence of a meme is to take the time to visit other participant's post & leave a link or comment, something I don't always enjoy as I want to visit blogs I fancy going to not ones I 'have' to visit.

3. Awards, Ah awards. I love em! But alas I will gracefully accept & post but not pass on directly. I apologise for passing on the recent awards but I felt at the time my blog had very few awards and got pulled along by the thrill of it.

I hope I haven't offended any one in making my stance but as time is precious I've had to prioritise & adjust my Bloggin' habits.

I'm a bit out of sorts at the mo! So posting will be a little bit irratic!

To me it is an award when ones stops to comment on my blog.I then have the pleasure of viting them and surely a new friend .The reward for me is the caring and sharing that I experience within the blog community! hugs NG

I totally agree and support everything you have said in this post.

I feel sometimes that 'fashions' run through the blog world - tags, memes and lately the flood of 'awards' have been like chain mail - being dished out without much thought it appeared.

Hence my not joining in any of them (for which I have been criticised)- but I did not feel comfortable with the idea of 'tagging' other bloggers.

Ditto with emails that have 'forwarded' jokes etc - I just delete them and 'spam' them and would never send them on - I respect my friends and associates too much for that.

I do so hope that you start feeling better soon - and please do not feel pressurised to post a blog - we will all wait for your return when you are feeling perkier. I hope that it is sooner rather than later

Sorry to hear your sad news, and to read that you're in pain again. Hope you can get your appointment as soon as the funeral is over.

Will pop back to see how you are.

Tango: you really know how to make yourself comfy don't you?
Libby: Take a lesson from Tango, look after yourself and don't overdo it.
BTW I agree about the blog awards. They don't really mean much, and in fact, I have never got one, but what are they for anyway? Just more clutter on the page, taking away from what you really want to say. Right?

I commented on Ruth's blog, in agreement with what Shaz said. Like I mentioned when I made my badge to share I felt like being back at school when a list of blogs was listed and I didn't see my name there...so silly but I was being honest. Blogging is great but when others put pressure on us I feel like a plate spinner and just get up to date and somebody will throw another meme in our direction and the panic starts as our name has appeared on a blog & we feel we have to react!
Hope you are feeling better dear, will be in touch.

Regarding Mrs Nesbitt's comment, I have tried to add new bloggers to my sidebar, but Blogger won't let me make any changes.... no idea why, but it's very frustrating.

Thank you for pointing me to Ruth and her wonnnnnnnnnderful entry on Tags and Awards and etc.! I worried about being impolite but I just didn't do them. I say Thank You back in a comment in their blog and that;s that. I simply do not like lots of buttons and stuff, on my SideBar and I won't put them up there.

Yes, I struggled with this, 'cause I didn't want to be impolite. But ding-dang-it, I can blog as I wish. And my blog can appear, as I wish. :-)

And best wishes with being out of sorts. Don't worry about posting. We post when we feel like it.

Hugs,
Mari-Nanci

Shaz's post was really inspiring and said what so many of us feel. I'd rather spend the time visiting all my great blogpals like you. Hope you feel brighter soon and give your Mum an extra hug from me.

Hope you feel better soon Libby and Tango looks very relaxed and comfy too. He's an example to us all I think. ;-)

Tags: sometimes I join in, sometimes not. Don't tag others though.

Meme: see above

Awards: are gracefully accepted in the spirit they have been given. I do occasionally award others but only if I feel they really deserve it.
