I fell off the wagon over Christmas (to be expected) but those few pounds I gained, where noticable! My knees complained!! So I leapt back onto the wagon again on the
1st January, full of 'vim & vigour' and raring to go!
I also bought a pedometer, which I started using this last weekend, and its amazing how far you have to go to hit the magic 10,0000 steps. Which I still haven't!
Anyway I promise not to bore you (just watch the ticker at the top) but I just wanted you to know I had started again, set myself a new target and added another 6lbs off this week to get me there.
I'm feeling good, hoping to go swimming twice a week when normality returns to the household.
But.................
and there always is one, I have 2 specialist appointments this week and one of those will confirm if I need another op! If I do that will put paid to the swimming for 6 weeks! But that won't stop me eating correctly! lol

Libby. I laughed when I read your entry. I'm trying to lose a stone... I say trying... not trying very hard really and need a kick up the backside. I joined the gym (only about 200m away from my house) but it takes so much effort to get there! I have been swimming, and I was getting quite good at going on the running machine (at a walk) but then what happened "Christmas".
If you need a "get fit & healthy" cyber-space partner then look no further... we can moan to each other about how much weight we still haven't lost and how many times we "haven't" been swimming.
Anyway, must go to the gym now (yeh right!)
You are certainly not alone in your wishes to shed a few pounds! All those holiday treats and goodies did not help one bit! Good luck with your walking and eating more healthy. Good luck to me, too, as I really need it...I have no will power...lol. Keep us posted about your 2 appointments. Hope the outcome is good news.
Not alone at all! I went back to work today with a strong will and found chocs still in the office from before Christmas! Why am I so weak! :-)
Count me in on the keeping healthy and going to the gym.
But first I have to eat up all the remaining christmas goodies.....
Good for you that you've lost 25 lb already, Libby. Of course you can't keep a diet around Christmas time. That would be asking too much, way too much. ;-)
I have a pedometer too and most days get to the desired 10,000 steps but that is because I love to go for loooong walks every day. It was one of the reasons we moved to the countryside a few years ago.
I hope the outcome of the 2 specialist appointments is good! I'm glad you're feeling better!
Belated Happy New Year and Good Luck with the weight losing and appointments :o)

Oh, you've done very well my friend, very well indeed. COngratulations. And yes, 10,000 is a lot. But with all that lovely landscape you have around, the steps will be fun.
That is dedication for you, wandering through your living room with buckets of horse poo, still just think of all of those steps you had to take.Keep on plodding...
