Lucky Me!

I received a lovely parcel in the post, it contained lots of lovely goodies!

A packet of Breakfast Tea, a beautiful new tea cosy and a beautiful china teacup and saucer.

Why would I receive such a goody pack, because I read other peoples blogs and one I like in particular belongs to 21st Century Housewife who was having a giveaway and I won!!!! I admire this lady immensely as she tries to become greener in her everyday living and I often leave her blog with ideas to try my self! So pop across and take a look.

The tea cosy is really welcome especially when you look at my old one

disgusting isn't it! I can tell you the practically the day I bought this, there had been a display in the window of the Oxfam shop (now closed) in our local town of knitted items, when I asked if I could buy one they said 'yes dear at the end of the week' so 9am on the last day of the week I went in and bought it and that was 20 years ago this December! Cost me £2.50, but I thought it was well worth it, and as you can see its tatty but still does a good job, infact it out lasted the old teapot!!!

The beautiful china cup and saucer is so pretty and delicate but to be honest far too small for a cuppa, one sip and it would be gone, so I have put it on the dresser with all my other lovely little nick naks!

Thank you so much Mrs L your gift is really appreciated!

I though I might have a giveaway, so I am off to have a route round to see what I can find, so watch this space.

Then I thought for a bit of fun I might set myself the challenge of posting everyday of November???? I won't promise that the posts will be long and meaningful, but there will be posts!!!lol!!!

Lovely Day!

I had a lovely day yesterday, lots of nice things arrived in the post and by delivery.
Firstly the post came and I had two small parcels the first full of seed from a friend on the Hardy Tropicals Forum, I had sent her a cutting of a Brugmansia so she had very kindly sent me a selection of seeds to try! Hmmm could be interesting!

Then Teresa @ Christmas in Progerss sent me a little parcel with some goodies in to make. Now I know you may think me daft joining this group but I must admit I was really well organised last year and in fact practically had my feet up from the middle of November!!! Definately recommended!

Then a knock at the door in the afternoon and a man stood holding these

Then later still my friend came round with these

and later still we ate, what ever this was supposed to be????

The flowers where from my mum in my most favourite colours

The roses are a most lovely dusky pink and the gerberas are the deepest fuschia pink and the lilies scent is amazing. I think this has been one of the bestest bouquets I have ever recieved!
As for the dolop in the pan this is the person responsible

and I can assure you they did get better!

Shopping, Haircuts, Builders and Surprises!!

Kathryn was out on the razz!! last night with her old friends from Chippenham College, they all went off to a nightclub in Bristol!! She didn't get back in until 4am. Then I had to wake her at 8am because we had hair appointments at 9.15am. Bless her, she was up bright and chatty! Meanwhile Mark had left for Winchester Family Records Office at 8am he had to find some descendants!!!!
After are haircuts, we did a bit more clothes shopping then we had to shoot through to Calne and deliver cards and presents before being back home for the builders at mid-day.
The builders went up on the roof to see where are leak was, and they found it, so have made good for now but will be back in the New Year to do a proper job!!!
I got a lovely phone call from my Mum. she was made up with the hamper we gave her, she just wanted to know why we hadn't bought her a cupboard to put it all in!!! I think it was a hit!!!
Then I had a surprise a parcel addressed to me, and me alone!!! So as it didn't say do not open till Christmas I opened it and it was full of........

lots and lots of goodies! It was from Mrs Nesbit, I was her 7000th person on her blog! Well I know what I'm doing with some of the material and when I've done it I will post a pic!!! She very kindly made me and my family a beautiful Christmas card. Now Lottie and I have enjoyed making some of our cards for Christmas but when you see Mrs Nesbit's you understand why she runs a very good card business....

As usual Mrs Nesbit your card is absolutely gorgeous thank you very, much, it is greatly appreciated!

After I blitzed our bedroom, Tori was working hard on some Science Course work and Kathryn had fallen asleep, curled up on the chair. I decided I would pop into the shops and see how busy it was as I had some last bits to do!! When I got there the car park was practically empty, and all the tills where open but not very busy, so in I went, round I whizzed with my list and trolley, filling it up with all the bits and pieces and then straight to a till, where as I unloaded onto the conveyor belt, it went past the checkout lady and was all nicely packed in my 'green' shopping bags by another lady, then I paid and left!!! Gob smacking I dont think I have ever gone round the shop so quick!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So that is it all done, dusted (well I will do that tomorrow!)presents wrapped, and under the tree and ready! The ham will go in soak tomorrow, the turkey and pork will be taken out of the freezer as well.
I'm getting excited now!!!!!!!!
