Pushed on with the jungle garden and apart from a wooden border and mulch I believe its finished, take a look at the left hand side....
I know this last part looks a bit bare but that little plants should hit 8 x 8ft!! ( we hope!)
the coal bunker side
the view straight down the middle
It has alot of growing to do, but as hubby won't let me move the jungle to the bottom, (its not often he says no, but when he does he means it). We both agree that we probably need to move a couple of the coal bunkers to the end of the left hand side, then I can plant some large leaved plants to hide the right hand bunkers better, and give a better jungle feel.
But..... I reckon once everything has grown and looks really great he might understand why it should all go to the bottom of the garden! Where we could fit some really big leaved plants in!!!
A mosaic of Tori's artwork, which we saw last night.

Wow on both counts - what a transformation to your garden
And what a talent Tori has
You must be very proud.
The garden looks super. Will you be able to leave those jungle plants outside all year long or will they have to come into the greenhouse?
I'm just catching up on blogs, have been busy doing calligraphy addresses for the wedding invitations, no time to blog this week.
What a lot of beautiful tropical looking plants! You must have a very mild and warm climate! Lovely!

I enjoyed looking at the photos of your jungle garden and Tori's artwork is just fabulous. Well done Tori.

Oh, I do love your jungle garden, Libby! Congratulations on the planting scheme you have chosen...very exotic looking! I loved the way you displayed Tori's work like that...in a group of nine. How did you do it? I have lots of photos of Chelsea to share and that idea would save me a lot of hassle, putting each photo on separately.
How I love that jungle garden of yours. I'm quite green with envy! Your tree fern is so beautiful!!!!!
Love the way your garden is looking at the moment Libby. You've worked hard and it shows!!!!
When I look at the last picture of your garden I'm thinking pergola. If you put in 1 (or 2 or 3) pergola's from one side of the fence to the other, it would obscure the view to the end of your garden a bit, add some more interest, would provide you with space for climbers and ... would make your garden seem wider. Just a thought, mull it over if you like.
Lovely display of Tori's artwork you've made. Your girl is talented!
