Blue & White China!

I have collected these for years. Some of them are brand new, some antiques, they where bought just because I liked them, not because they are worth anything (they are not)enjoy..........

Now closer views.....

I got these because of my families seafaring history they are the Cutty Sark , The Sea Witch and The Thermopoly.

I just loved this guys face, so I bought it .....

to the left of the Cavalier are the Soldier, Gamekeeper and Sailor

then the duck and leaf..

A couple of closer views of the dresser....

and finally a pic of my most favourite one and probably the most expensive

to be honest none of the photos do these plates any justice, but I hope you enjoyed the Blue and White Tour!!

Wow very impressive

Years ago I used to have a wall of plates in one of my past houses. I used to paint on china and porcelain.

After one move, I gave them all away to friends that liked them - the last plate went a few years ago to Haruko's aunt when she visited from Japan.

Still on the positive side - I don't have all the dusting to do and we don't have any room here anyway.

Oh, very pretty! My aunt used to collect the same sort of plates and everytime she caught me looking at them when I was little, she'd tell me she'd give one the next time she redecorated. Then one year I went to visit and found out she'd redecorated and had forgotten all about me! But I do still love the plates!

Hi Libby,
I too am a fan of blue and white. I have a willow pattern dinner set (only a cheap one). Willow pattern allways reminds me of my grandparents and thier little cottage in Silverdale Lancashire.

I love tha last plate you have of the hay cart.

Take care
Gill

It's nice to see how you've displayed your plates. Do you ever take one or more down to serve on them?
