Your knitting projects are brilliant and snuggled up in front of the fire sounds so theraputic - the best place to be here today with all the high winds and unrelenting heavy rain.

I think you did brilliantly with your garden - on the veggie front it is a very bad year for most things and the crops you did get were on a par with those of other plot holders up the allotment. Mine crops are certainly dismal compared to usual - and my sweet corn is only 18 inches high! The chooks won't be seeing much from that crop that is for sure.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3815122877097885972.post-24016314864704629412007-08-22T21:07:00.000+01:002007-08-22T21:07:00.000+01:00Sorry Swifts are on her other blog here http://sun...Sorry Swifts are on her other blog here http://sunflowerswifts.blogspot.com/ but nostepinnes are on that first one I gave you - a post in July I think.Auntie Noohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14304562189530035063noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3815122877097885972.post-12101895834360146262007-08-22T21:04:00.000+01:002007-08-22T21:04:00.000+01:00Oh Libby you poor love. FOr Yarn swifts and nostepinnes try here http://www.spin-a-yarn.blogspot.com/ a bit of a treat but they will last a lifetime, and they're so beautiful. You can also get those ball winders from ebay (like you use for a knitting machine) but the nostepinne is a bit more "craft-house" !!!! - and easier if you're watching tv.Auntie Noohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14304562189530035063noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3815122877097885972.post-51872604569623476342007-08-22T21:00:00.000+01:002007-08-22T21:00:00.000+01:00Sorry you are still in some pain Libby..xxHope the...Sorry you are still in some pain Libby..xx
Hope they sort you out soon.
The knitting is great. I am sorry that you are Not feeling so great :( I've had those kind of tests ultra sounds and man they hurt when probing near those sensitive ovaries!! ouch!!!!

The shrug hit a nerve for me because my mother would always knit these up for everyone! A year ago she was diagnosed with dimentia so she does NOT knit anymore...it's as though she never had this skill..it saddens me because her ~hug~ as you call it has seen better days and I need toreplace it.

With these instructions perhaps I can have a go at it...I don't knit but this could be motivation for me....they are perfect for taking away the chill particularly on seniors!
I shall copy the instructions thank you hugs NGNaturegirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00177418253271097079noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3815122877097885972.post-89688278036436820782007-08-22T18:05:00.000+01:002007-08-22T18:05:00.000+01:00YUK tummy pain, not good! I made beet and onion chutney a few years ago, but I've lost the recipe, too bad, cos it was wonderful.
